Butt baby,I know you think you are putting us sec fans in our place but let me remind you friend, the sec has only lost 2 of 8 bowl games this year, nobody else can say that.So if our loss to Mich. makes you think the SEC is overrated you might want to think that out again! Even though Fla. lost, they played a heck of a game but UM was better that day. Ark.? They were just simply overmatched, they should have played Hawwaii.Fla.,Mizzu. Ga.,Mich. It would have been a different story. But no excuses.

Oh my goodness!!! What in the world is going on in here, We got Buckeyes crying Tigers screeming and idiots talking all kinds of jibberish!! Anyway about the Fla. Mich. game Mich. should be proud, but to say they beat the best is just not so. Fla. had a few problems this year. But none the less,Mich. played a heck of a game. But don’t think that means a thing. When ya’ll played ‘em they were not at full strength! And your guys could only put up 14 pt. against thier defence.Hmm.

From what I heard Michigan played Florida with a starting QB & RB who didnt play in the Michigan & OSU game. So OSU might not even be in this game? OSU will see 11 Pro Starters on the field against them for the first time. I apriciate OSU for showing up cuz once everyone see’s on National television how “LSU” scores on the Over rated upgraded “stats” OSU def. OSU has stats because they play players and games like Hawaii plays. When OSU meets tomorrows #1 NFL players on field LSU 49 ~ OSU 14

TO: Nicolson (reminds me of Yogi Berra’s wisecrack: “A Nickel’s not worth a DIME these days…” ha-ha-ha!!): OSU had a down day against the Illini, similar to LSU’s down days against ARK and KY, whom — if you are honest — you would know that LSU would demolish ARK or KY TODAY. So also would OSU over illinois. BUT that was then, and now is now. This BUCKEYE team will surprise you, Sir, when they do to your Tigers what U.M. did to the gators!!…only WORSE!! OHIO STATE, 31, lsu 21, with luck.

And another thing…

Mr. MikeTheTiger: to pursue your query a bit farther, you might wish to examine the numbers put up this year by Boeckmann and Flynn: they are in fact quite comparable, except in the overall QB rating, where Boeckmann is rates over 65, and Flynn at about 55. Check it out for yourself, meow-meow, ha-ha!! Also, BTW, a BUCKEYE is a powerful, majestic tree (Latin: Aesculus glabra) that overpowers it opponents, so GET READY!!!

LSU is #1, OSU will probably be ranked behind michigan after this game. OSU does not have 11 players on the field at any time that can compete with LSU 11 players at the same time. When its all over at least yall made it to the game. If I was OSU fan I wouldnt compete with the teams at the bottom of the SEC list. They all went to a bowl game, the teams OSU plays on there scedule watched the bowl games from home. After watching USC take apart Illinios. It gave me a taste of how OSU will play

Well, Mr. Mikethetiger, please allow me to oblige you a reply, since you one-sidedly referenced Mr. Flintstone. First,
funny how you mention “OSU v. SEC”, since OHIO STATE v. LSU is… 1-0-1…but you knew that, right??? Our QB is Todd Boeckmann, whom you will get to know very well, as he TORCHES your secondary!! (remember ARK?!?!) GO BUCKEYES, BEAT THE TIGERS!!!

LSU’s record in the SuperDome- 4 and 0 in the last decade.

OSU’s record against SEC teams- hmmm… 0 and 8. Including that blowout last year.

LSU- had Dome field advantage. I think there are a few more LSU fans in New Orleans (the best city in the world) than there are buckeye fans. + what the hec is a buckeye!

LSU’s QB - Matt Flynn

OSU’s QB - I have no idea. Thats how unknown their whole team is!!!

LSU- 35 OSU- 14 FINAL

TO: JPDUP: You, Sir, are correct on both counts: (1) no sound inferences can be drawn about these two championship teams (OHIO STATE and LSU) from past experiences with NLF placements; (2)some of my fellow BUCKEYES should be more respectful of your excellent state of Louisiana. Hey bandit, it doesn’t matter how many players you put in the NFL. It matters how many good players, colleges put in the NFL. If I recall who had the most 1st round drafts, o that was LSU. To the rest of the nut fans(meaning ohio state fans) is that all ya’ll can talk about where we live and where we from, because obviously ya’ll never step in the Louisiana. So stop coming up with stuff that isnt true and talk about your team because I could talk about the tigers 24/7. GEAUX TIGERS!

A Hymn to Mr. Spears:

A great fan are ye, vicious and mean, you’re the nastiest Tiger,we’ve ever seen!

You drink like a fish, You smell like a skunk, and before it’s noon, you’re usually DRUNK!

You dress like a clown, you slobber and moan, and for that last bottle, you sold all you own!

But down go your Tigers, with their stripes and their growls, and right along with them, your miserable howls!

So off, ye, to swampland to cry in your beer, and regret the day the BUCKEYES came near!

The College that has put the most players in the NFL: USC. The college that has put the 2nd most players in the NFL: Ohio State. If you really want to look at the PATS roster, then look at the Big Ten players: Tom Brady, Kyle Brady, Roosevelt Colvin, Matt Light, Laurenece Maroney, Mike Vrabel, Eugene Wilson, & Pierre Woods. Looks like alot of important players on the Pats are from the Big 10

Tom Brady is from the Big Ten.Huh strange that you’re pointing out who is on the roster from the SEC but you leave out that critical fact. The simulation doesn’t account for heart does it? Whether it be LSU or OSU it comes down to heart and talent not the other way around.

Eric Alexander – LSU

Wesley Britt – Alabama

Heath Evans – Auburn

Kevin Faulk – LSU

Jabar Gaffney – Florida

Randall Gay – LSU

Jarvis Green—LSU

Chad Jackson – Florida

Rashard Moore – Tennessee

Oh Yea Pummeled, one more thing. I don’t really understand what you are talking about but the national championship game is being played indoors where weather has nothing to with the outcome. But anyway, It is harder for teams that don’t play in the snow to win, but would you call that an unfair advantage? I would much rather see two teams play on level playing feilds where the best team,or whoever plays better that day, wins. But that is just me.And where the hell did Grant & Lee come in to play

As far as Arkansas goes c’mon guys, They have alot going on right now. Not making excuses, but they did loose thier coach, and Mcfadden drew alot of media att. this week as well. But not to take anything away from Mizzo’s win, they played great. I believe though, The hoggs were just simply overmatched. It would have been better matched against Hawwaii, An Georgia against Mizzu, That would have been a great game. And then Hawwaii, Good effort,at least you got there.

Back to football. Congrats go out to Michigan for a well played game. Very deserving win. But please buckeyes, don’t think that means anything. When you guys played UM they were without Hart, and Henne was about 50%. And you guys could only put 14 pts. up on the defence! Today they played the best game they have all year, and won fair and square and should be proud of thier accomplishment. Goodluck to Carr on his retirement, Great coach!

thepummeler: Don’t focus on weather. Coaching has a lot to do with what’s going on in the SEC. Four active coaches have won national titles (Spurrier, Meyer, Saban, Fulmer). Eight active coaches have won the conference at least once. The result — competitive balance year in, year out. You can’t say that about the Big 10.

I am shocked at the flagrant misuse of the English language evident in this forum. You must all write the following sentence 500 times: “I must not use colloquialisms.”

Write in blue or black ink on college-ruled paper. No correction fluid or scratchouts will be accepted; if you make any mistakes in spelling, penmanship, or correct use of margins, you must tear up your paper and begin again.

Check the Pats’ roster — I count 36 players who played at colleges in warm-weather climates. Included in the list: Ben Watson, Vince Wilfork, Wes Welker, Adalius Thomas, Richard Seymour, Junior Seau, Jarvis Green, Tedy Bruschi, Kevin Faulk.

Know what you’re talking about before posting comments.

Geez, I feel sorry for Hawaii - dunno what happened to their O-line, but Colt Brennan just got sacked AGAIN, this time for a fumble in the end zone recovered for a GA TD. GA 31, HI 3 so far.

Hope all those nice folks who traveled so far have had a good time in town so they can at least bring home some happy memories.

Hmmm, the SEC hasn’t had such a great day in today’s games; they’ve fallen to 5-2, though the way the Sugar Bowl is going it’ll probably be 6-2 by tomorrow.

And lookie here, the poor Big 10 has fallen from 2-2 to 3-4 in bowls, 1-1 in bowls this year against the SEC.

Nice for Lloyd Carr to go out on a win; he’s a good guy & deserves it.

pummy, you’ll never know.

What free time is mine, I use as I choose, and during college football’s last hurrah till next fall I choose to immerse myself in the game.

pummy, you ask where is the SEC if the road to the Super Bowl goes through New England. Just so you know, the Pats’ roster includes 4 former Tigers. That doesn’t even take into consideration any other SEC alumni.

Actually, until Marquise Hill’s untimely death by drowning, there were 5 LSU alumni on the NE team. Rest in peace, Marquise.

Hail to the Rodents! Congratulations to LLoyd Carr and the blueboys for defeating
UF in a tough game. This is a sign of things to come next Monday! Remember that OHIO STATE stifled this UM team for single-digit yardage. Congrats also to our SEC folks for again having a winning bowl season.

OOOooops, there it is. I went and pulled the Ethnicity card. But, seriously folks. Blue Chip kids will continue to go to “Sun Belt” schools in favor of “Snow Belt” schools when weighing the differences, as has been. But, every once in a while you need to be able to play in the cold! Brrrrrrrrrrrr! The Super Bowl goes through New England. Where’s the SEC in this battle? hahahahahahahahahahah HAH!

If you took, historically, the four best teams from the north and combined them, to play the four best teams from the south, you might have something like this: Ohio State, Michigan, ND, Penn State or Nebraska VS. Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn or Georgia. Wow! Now what a game that would be if you could assemble one team from the four best teams to oppose one another for the Crown of best TEAM, North VS. South. But, wait, let’s look. Its already been settled. Grant SKUNKED Lee.

Hey let’s face it. The SEC is the best conference. 10 of 12 teams eligible for Bowls Yeah Arkansas lost to Missouri but it’s Arkansas. Missourri is the Big 12 second best team while arkansas is at the bottom of the SEC. And while Michigan beat Florida hey Florida is the SEC fourth best team. So all credit given to Michigan, but it took alot to win that game. As for LSU OSU lets face it. LSU has better stats with a tougher schedule. LSU has depth, power and speed. Hard to beat a team like that.

I’m going to make this short and simple. OHIO is going to win. You see how last year everyone said the buckeyes were going to win? Well, they didn’t. Florida did. Now, everyone is saying LSU will win. And that, will lead to their downfall. LSU will loose. OSU will win. 27-14 OSU.

pummy, you seem confused again. It’s lovely that OSU won a BCS championship game before losing in their next appearance. Why do you emphasize “outright?” The Bowl Championship Series is win-loss, not win-loss-tie.

Ohhhh, you must be talking about 2003, when the BCS put the wrong non-SEC team in the championship game. See my post to Dennis Dearie about the agreement that BCS schools signed about not recognizing or claiming any other championship designations.
